TOPEKA, Kan, (WIBW)-- A former state lawmaker will be allowed to keep his name on the ballot, as he seeks a return to the statehouse.
Democrat Tom Sawyer is running for the 95th District seat in Wichita.
The state objections board heard today from those who claim Sawyer doesn't live in the house in which he's registered to vote, they say he actually lives out of the district.
The board unanimously ruled Sawyer is eligible to run for the seat.
He faces Republican incumbent Benny Boman.
