TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Advance voting is underway for the August 5 primary election.
Shawnee County elections officials are making it more convenient for those who'd like to cast early ballots by extending office hours.
Starting Monday, July 28, registered voters can cast their advance ballot in person from 8 am to 6 pm in the office at 911 SW 37th. Advanced voting at noon August 4th
People also can apply online to have a ballot mailed. The application is available at this link.
The last day for a ballot to be mailed is Friday, Aug. 1. Mailed advanced ballots must be returned to the elections office by 7 pm on election day, Aug. 5.

Applications for Advanced Ballots must include a copy of the voter’s photo identification or include the number of the applicant’s Kansas driver’s license or Kansas nondriver’s identification card. Additionally, all signatures are verified with those on file. For more information call the Shawnee County Election Office.
