MARTHAS VINYARD (WIBW)-- President Obama spoke from the press filing center on Martha’s Vineyard on Iraq and the Missouri situation.

The situation for Yazidi refugees stranded in Iraq's Sinjar Mountains has greatly improved, and those who remained on the mountain are leaving, President Barack Obama said. "We broke the siege" by ISIS, he said. He also said he doesn't expect a mission to evacuate some of those still stranded.

President Obama said he talked earlier Thursday with Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and "expressed my concern over the violent turn that events have taken on the ground" in Ferguson.

The President also said Police should not be arresting journalists who are just doing their jobs, reporting what they see.
