TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two well-known State Senate candidates went head to head on the issues Tuesday.
With the sound of trains rolling past in the background, incumbent 18th district Sen. Laura Kelly and Republican challenger former Shawnee Co. Sheriff Dick Barta tried to stay on track with the issues during a forum at the Great Overland Station.
Barta and Kelly shared their thoughts on growing the Kansas economy, reforming the state's tax structure and creating jobs.
The Topeka Business Alliance sponsored Tuesday's forum.
