TOPEKA, Kan. – House Sergeant at Arms Wayne Owen passed away Friday afternoon.
He suffered a brain aneurysm on Monday.
“Wayne was a kindhearted and dedicated man who brightened the lives of everyone in the House,” said House Speaker Ray Merrick. “He will be extremely missed by every member of the House. During this time of loss, his family will be in the thoughts and prayers of all who knew Wayne.”
Funeral arrangements had not yet been set Friday.
