TOPEKA (WIBW) -- A former Vice Presidential candidate visited Kansas, to support a mentor.
Republican Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin headlined a fundraiser in Wichita for Governor Sam Brownback.
Ryan was the Legislative Chief of Staff during some of the time Sam Brownback served as a U.S. Senator. Rep. Ryan said the governor's proposals will help turn deficits into surpluses and get Kansans back to work.
Ryan ran on the ticket with Mitt Romney last fall.
Kansas Democrats criticized the visit, saying Brownback and Ryan are conducting experiments that hurt the middle-class, seniors and the economy.
