WASHINGTON (AP) _ Former Kansas congressman Jim Slattery is
thinking about challenging incumbent Republican Senator Pat Roberts.
Slattery represented Kansas' 2nd congressional district as a Democrat for 12 years until 1994, when he ran for governor and lost to Bill Graves.
Slattery now works as a lawyer and lobbyist in Washington.
Roberts is seeking his third term. He's already been busy raising money for his campaign, with more than $2 million in the bank so far.
