OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Billionaire investor Warren Buffett hasn't endorsed a presidential candidate. But he's said he'd be happy with either Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barack Obama, and he's putting his money where is mouth is.
Federal Election Commission records show that Warren Buffett and his wife, Astrid Menks, each donated the maximum $4,600 to Obama's campaign in April, and so did Buffett's daughter, Susie Buffett. Both Buffetts donated the maximum to Clinton's campaign in January, and Menks donated $4,600 in May.
Buffett, 76, who runs Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc., helped Clinton raise at least $1 million for her campaign at a June event in New York.
Buffett and others are co-hosting a $500-per-person event reception for Obama August 15 in Omaha.
