DENVER - Unity, security and change are the nightly themes
for the Democratic Convention.

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, co-chair of the convention,
said today that the theme for the August 25th opening night will be
``One Nation,'' with a speech by Michelle Obama.

The August 26th theme is ``Renewing America's Promise'' with a
speech by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama's chief rival
for the presidential nomination.

On August 27th, the theme is ``Securing America's Future'' with
an acceptance speech by Obama's still-unannounced vice presidential
candidate. (Some websites list Governor Sebelius as #3 among the possible choices.)

The theme for August 28th, the night Obama formally accepts the
nomination, is ``Change You Can Believe In.''
