Governor Kathleen Sebelius, in her former stomping grounds of Ohio, says Wednesday she's concentrating on her Kansas job, and not getting swept up in speculation that she is a potential running mate for Barack Obama. Sebelius is in the Buckeye State stumping for the Illinois Senator.. who posted wins in Wisconsin and Hawaii Tuesday night.
Sebelius is an Ohio native whose father is a former governor of the state in the early 1970s. She and her father, John, are the only father-daughter governor team in U.S. history.
She sidestepped questions about a potential vice presidential bid, saying she was just trying to do what she can to help him win the Democratic nomination. Sebelius was also mentioned on lists of potential vice presidential running mates for John Kerry four years ago. She's reheated the national speculation by delivering the Democratic response to President Bush's State of the Union Address.
