A Topeka man is throwing his hat in the race for Shawnee County District Attorney.
Attorney Chad Taylor says he'll run for the position currently occupied by Robert Hecht.
Taylor operates his own law office, handling a range of state and federal cases. He graduated from Chicago-Kent College Law School after earning his bachelor's from KU.
Taylor has served the City of Topeka as a Municipal Court Judge ProTem, and as an Administrative Hearing Officer. He is also an Administrative Hearing Officer for the State Worker's Compensation Fraud and Abuse Unit, and has been a member of the Shawnee County
Hecht has served as Shawnee County DA seven years, since 2001.
