NEW YORK (AP) Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani is back home and taking the day off today after being released from a St. Louis hospital yesterday.
The former New York City mayor had been hospitalized overnight after experiencing flu-like symptoms while campaigning in Missouri.
A campaign statement says doctors then performed a series of
precautionary tests. The results were normal.
Giuliani spoke to reporters after returning to his Manhattan apartment building late yesterday. Giuliani said he feels ``fine'' and thanked his wife Judith, who's a nurse, for being a calm and helpful presence.
The 63-year-old candidate is taking today off from the campaign trail. Aides say he'll be making planned visits to New Hampshire this weekend.
