Christmas Tree Arrives at Cedar Crest

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Governor's house!

A horse-drawn wagon arrived at Cedar Crest Friday afternoon carrying the tree that will be displayed there this holiday season. Governor Kathleen Sebelius was on hand for the arrival.

The eight-and-a-half foot tall Scotch pine was grown at Strawberry Hill Christmas Tree Farm in Lawrence. Once it was carried inside and put in the living room, the Governor declared it "perfect."

Strawberry Hill's owners, Eric and Lynn Walther, say it is an honor to be chosen to add to the holiday spirit at Cedar Crest.

Christmas tree farms are a $10 million a year industry in Kansas.
