(CNN) -- Move over Hawaii! North Dakota is now Gallup's happiest state in America.

Here's why you need to pack your bags and head straight to the Peace Garden State:

-- Oil, oil and more oil! The Fiscal Times reports that North Dakota's oil production has gone up 600% between 2005 and 2012. Producing 783,000 barrels of oil a day has made North Dakota the No. 2 oil-producing state in the country.

-- Almost everyone has a job: North Dakota had the lowest unemployment rate in the country last year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

-- The number of millionaires has tripled between 2005 and 2011, according to The Fiscal Times. Much of that money is coming from payments residents receive for leasing mineral rights, according to The New York Times.

-- New McDonald's employees get a $300 signing bonus since there aren't enough workers to meet the demand for Big Macs. Job listings boast an $11 an hour paycheck, which is several dollars higher than what you'd find around the country.

-- Waiting tables can bring in some major cash. Business Insider estimates that waiters and waitresses can earn up to $750 a day.

-- Strippers can earn big bucks, too. Business Insider reports that some exotic dancers can reportedly earn up to $350,000 a year. It makes sense when you consider there are 12 men for every woman in the state.

-- North Dakota was named the best-run state two years in a row by Yahoo Finance.

-- North Dakota produces the most sunflowers in America. The state's crop in 2012 was valued at more than $300 million, according to the Agricultural Marketing Resource Center.

-- It's the least-visited state: So that may sound like a bad thing. But think about it: You'll have plenty of elbow room when you head to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

-- North Dakota is the leading honey producer in the United States, according to the National Honey Board. The state produced 34,115,000 pounds in 2012, valued at $64,553,000.

-- Beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife: North Dakota has 63 national wildlife refuges -- the most of any state -- that encompass 290,000 acres.

What exactly makes for happy?

The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index released Thursday is based off more than 178,000 interviews conducted with adults between January and December of last year. Topics include emotional and physical health, access to basic necessities and outlook on life.
