MIAMI, Fla. (WIBW) -- Guy walks into a Florida convenience store with an alligator in a box. No it's not the set up for a joke...it really happened in Miami.
Fernando Caignet Aguilera approached the clerk in a convenience store with the intent of obtaining some beer. When the topic of payment came up...Aguilera offered a live alligator which he had literally in hand for exchange.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the man saw the alligator at a local park and when he caught it; he thought maybe someone would trade him some beer for his gator.
Aguilera was cited by FWC officers for three different charges related to illegally capturing the alligator. FWC officers eventually released the alligator back into the wild
