(CNN) -- All-but-omnipresent entertainment personality Ryan Seacrest is sticking with the job that propelled him to national fame, announcing Monday that he'll continue hosting "American Idol."

Seacrest hosts a daily morning radio show for Clear Channel, helms a daily entertainment news show with Giuliana Rancic on E! and is an executive producer of several shows, including "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Plus he announced earlier this month that he'll be part of NBC's primetime coverage of the Summer Olympics in London.

Even with all these commitments, the suburban Atlanta native will not be stepping away from his gig as the man with the microphone who delivers the good news and the bad as the host of the perennial TV powerhouse singing competition, "American Idol."

He's been in that spotlight -- initially with co-host Brian Dunkleman -- since the show debuted June 11, 2002. The program has produced a number of artists that have become stars in the music industry, including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry.

Fox announced Seacrest's continuation with the show in a news release Monday night. Terms of the deal, including its length and pay, were not detailed.

"American Idol" has seen its share of transition in those 11 years, including the departure of long-time hosts Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. But Seacrest has been a constant, along with judge Randy Jackson and producer Simon Fuller.

"It's been a wild ride, and I'm excited for my journey with 'American Idol' to continue," Seacrest said.
