NYPD: 2 Children Stabbed To Death, Nanny Arrested
NEW YORK (AP) Police say a mother returned home to her Manhattan apartment to find her two small children stabbed to death in a bathtub and her nanny with a knife in her hand.
The woman returned home at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday to find her two children, ages 3 and 5, in the bathroom of their apartment on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Police say the nanny had a knife in her hand and a self-inflicted wound.
The mother called 911. The nanny was arrested and also hospitalized.
The two children were pronounced dead. It's not clear how many times they were stabbed.
Police are investigating. The nanny's name wasn't immediately released.
