KU Ticket Scam Case Delayed

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- The trial for a man who took part in a ticket scalping conspiracy at the University of Kansas is delayed.

Federal Judge Monti Belot set the trial for February 19 for the former KU Athletics consultant Thomas Ray Blubaugh.

Blubaugh was sentenced for conspiracy to defraud the United States. He is one of seven people conviced of stealing and selling $2 million dollars worth of KU tickets. He is currently amidst serving a 46-month sentence.

His wife served as the former ticket director for the KU Athletics department.

The prosecution got the okay from the judge to obtain files from Blubaugh's former attorney, who will testify in the trial.

Attorney-client privelege for Blubaugh is waived.
