DALLAS, Texas (CBS/AP) -- Emergency responders have been searching for a Dallas firefighter who reported by radio being trapped while battling a six-alarm blaze at a condominium complex.

Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans says the search continues for the firefighter unaccounted for in the blaze still burning early Monday.

Officials have not discussed that firefighter's condition, or if he is able to communicate with other rescue workers, reports CBS affiliate KTVT in Dallas.

Officials say at least two dozen units have been damaged in the complex in northeast Dallas. Emergency personnel had no immediate reports of any residents hurt in the fire that broke out before dawn Monday.

The intense fire kept crews from immediately searching the entire complex.

Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the blaze.

The American Red Cross has been called to assist those residents who were displaced. There is no word yet on what might have sparked the massive blaze.
