(CNN)-- After weeks of speculation over “did she” or “didn’t she,” Jessica Simpson has welcomed a baby girl!
Simpson confirmed the news on her website Tuesday, saying her and fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed daughter Maxwell Drew. Little Maxwell weighed in at 9 lbs, 13 ounces.
“We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!” Simpson and Johnson posted on the site.
This has been one of the most anticipated baby bump watches in recent history. The singer fueled speculation that she was ready to deliver back in March when she was on the Ellen DeGeneres show, telling the talk show host that she had already experienced contractions.
“I had contractions last night and I freaked out a little bit. You know those Braxton Hicks things,” Simpson said. “Like these contractions that pregnant woman have towards the end. It prepares your body for delivery. I’m prepared. It’s scary.”
Until official pictures are released of baby Maxwell, you can enjoy a behind the scenes video from Jess’s baby shower.
