(CBS/AP)-- A Boston teen has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend while the woman was pushing a baby stroller along a city street.
Samia Jones, 17, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of assault with intent to murder. Her bail was set at $50,000.
Officials say the incident began on Monday afternoon when the father of the victim's child called the victim and requested a meeting to talk about sneakers for their child, CBS Boston reports.
According to the station, police say the child's father restrained the victim while Jones stabbed her six times with a 10-12 inch knife.
Police say the victim, who is in her early 20s, collapsed outside an ice cream shop where customers rushed to help her.
The victim's injuries are not life-threatening and the 8-month-old child was unhurt.
The child's father has not been identified, but police say they are in the process of getting a warrant for his arrest, CBS Boston reports.
