WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorney General Eric Holder was hospitalized Thursday after experiencing faintness and shortness of breath, the Justice Department said.
The hospitalization is a precautionary measure, and the attorney general is in "good condition," the department said.
Holder experienced the symptoms during his regular meeting with senior staff on Thursday, the department said.
He is at MedStar Washington Hospital Center undergoing further evaluation.
