TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Topeka-based artist has spent the past several months traveling the world and shooting photographs of treehouses.

Chris Yorke shot the photos for Pete Nelson, who is the author of ``Treehouses of the World.''

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that these aren't the type of treehouses you'll find in your neighbor's backyard.

Yorke said they're upscale treehouses typically used for office space or studies.

Yorke stepped into the world of treehouses after his applications for graduate school were rejected.

Yorke traveled to Brazil, Australia, Thailand and India during a 3 1/2-month span.
