ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Residents of northeast Missouri are piling up sandbags and preparing for more flooding.
The National Weather Service predicts river levels will rise well above flood stage this weekend near river towns like Hannibal and Clarksville.
Parts of the state have already been drenched by unusually heavy rains this spring.
The new flooding is a result of heavy rains late last week that dropped up to 4 inches in parts of northeast Iowa. The flooding is not expected to extend as far south as the St. Louis area.
