TOPEKA (WIBW) - Saint Patrick's day is right around the corner, and you know what that means... the 5th Annual Great Topeka Bed Race!

The race benefits Housing and Credit Counseling Inc. is scheduled for 9:30 Saturday morning, March 16th, just before the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. 13's Ralph Hipp will host the event on the stretch of 6th Street between Van Buren and Jackson, near the Downtown Parade route.

About 25 teams are expected to participate in this year's event. A light workout for the bed racers will precede the starting gun for the first race.
