TOPEKA, Kan Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt has sued a group of out of state medical device companies for violating the Kansas Do Not Call Act.
The calls and complaints began in 2013 when the companies began calling Kansan's claiming they might be eligible to receive a medical alert device.
The lawsuits charge the defendants for violating the Kansas No-Call Act and attempting to sell the medical devices.
Suits have been filed against Benjamin D. George; Jody C. Rookstool; KMR Medical, LLC; KPM Capital, LLC; Arizona Medical Supply, LLC d/b/a Western Medical Supply; and Medical Pendant Billing, LLC d/b/a US Lifecare. all from Utah.
The Attorney General's office has asked any consumers who have been called by these companies should file a complaint with the AG's Consumer Protection Division.
