Woman Killed In Emporia After Being Hit By Train

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Emporia Police Department has confirmed to 13 News that a woman has died after being hit by a train in central Emporia shortly before midnight Wednesday.

Emporia Police Lt. Edward Owens said Thursday morning that the person hit is identified as Haylee Frazier, 28, of Emporia. He said she was found in the 300 block of Commercial Street in an area of the east alley.

Frazier was pronounced dead at the scene by Emporia/Lyon County EMS.
