TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- In recognition of the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a landmark case on the issue of abortion, Kansans for Life have planned a march and rally at the statehouse Monday.
Governor Sam Brownback is scheduled to attend the rally, which begins at 11:30 a.m. on Monday on the south steps of the Capitol.
There is a Catholic Mass scheduled for 10 a.m. at Topeka Performing Arts Center, marchers will leave TPAC at 11 a.m. for the march to the Capitol.
The Supreme Court issued its decision in the landmark Roe v. Wade case on January 22nd, 1973, deciding that a woman has the right to an abortion up until the point when a fetus can survive on its own.
