Two People Shot During Fight In Southeast Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Two people were shot during a fight that broke out in Southeast Topeka Sunday night.

Officers received a report that a large group of people were fighting in the 3500 block of Southeast Humboldt around 6 p.m. Sunday night.
Moments later authorities were told that shots were fired and people were seen scattering from the area.

Upon their arrival officers found a 30 year-old female and a 15 year-old male, both from Topeka, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police said another 16 year-old male of Topeka was threatened with the firearm.

Witnesses told police they saw the shooting suspects inside a silver Dodge Durango. Police later found the vehicle in the 3300 block of Southeast Irvingham. Ten of the fifteen people involved in the fight were brought outside the residence, processed by police and transported to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.

Police later identified a 48 year-old male and 17 year-old male, both from Topeka, as the shooting suspects.
