Authorities Identify 20 Year Old Topekan As Fatality Victim

Lyndon, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Highway Patrol says Jonathan Kaspar, 20, of Topeka, died early Friday morning in an accident on Highway 75 just south of Lyndon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol the wreck happened just after midnight Friday morning. Officials say Kaspar's 1997 Lexus crossed the center line for an unknown reason and was hit by a semi-trailer carrying cattle.

Kaspar was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Philip Mulder, 52, Iowa, was taken to Coffey County Hospital with injuries. Some of the cattle had to be put down after the accident.

Kaspar was a 2008 graduate of Hayden High School. He also had been active in a club soccer team.
