KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Three Christian schools in the Kansas City area are considering forming a district that could include three high schools.
Officials say the district would allow the schools to make better use of resources and reach more students.
The new district would start with Whitefield Academy in Kansas City, Marantha Academy in Shawnee and Kansas City Christian School in Prairie Village. More than 12 hundred students are enrolled at the three schools, each serving kindergarten through 12th grade.
It would probably be several years before any new buildings open.
The plan requires approval of parents and the school boards of
all three schools.
