CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) _ A 45-year-old St. Louis County woman pleads
guilty to second-degree murder in the 2005 death of her husband.
Connie Raybourn of Brentwood was scheduled to go to trial this week but entered a plea yesterday to charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Prosecutors are recommending 18 years in prison. Formal sentencing is August sixth.
Raybourn was accused of fatally shooting her estranged husband in an effort to reap the benefits of a one (m) million-dollar life insurance policy.
