ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A 60-year-old man is dead and his 3-year-old granddaughter critically injured after being hit by a car in St. Louis.
The accident happened yesterday in the Central West End. The victim is identified as Ronald Jones.
Police say Jones was crossing Kings highway with the girl when a car hit them. Witnesses are providing differing accounts about whether the pedestrians or the car had the right-of-way.
The child is being treated at St. Louis Children's Hospital, where she is critical condition. The accident remains under investigation.
