House Democrats Pick New Leader

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) Democrats have chosen a new leader in
the Missouri House.

Paul LeVota of Independence was chosen over the weekend as the
new House minority leader. He replaces Jeff Harris of Columbia, who
stepped down from the leadership post to focus on his campaign for
attorney general.

LeVota previously served as the assistant House minority leader. Democrats chose J-C Kuessner of Eminence to take over as their assistant leader. Republicans hold a 91-70 advantage in the House with two vacancies.
