Kids spent all Sunday afternoon in Rossville's Community Pool after a spectacular ribbon cutting ceremony. A delegation of city, county and state leaders were there. Members of the town's Pool Task Force were also called up to the podium. They're the ones who masterminded the moneyraising, making the new pool a reality. Former Mayor (now County Commissioner) Shelly Buhler was emotional in thanking the people of Rossville for all the hard work they'd done to make the dream come true.
Kids splashed in after the ribbon was cut at 1:00 Sunday. Admission is being charged at the front gate, and the fundraising won't stop here.. backers have plans for building a concession stand and bathhouse with a pricetag that may reach $300,000. But it's all worth it, especially for the Rossville kids who say they don't have to go out of town for a cool dip in the pool.
