Decomposed Body Found in Car Parked at Springfield Wal-Mart

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) _ Police are investigating the discovery
of a body in the back seat of a car in the parking lot of a
Wal-Mart Supercenter in Springfield.

Officer Grant Story says a Wal-Mart employee reported an odor
coming from a small car on the lot and called police. Officers
found a body covered up in the back seat of the car, which is
believed to have been in the lot for a few days.

Police say the body was in such a bad state of decomposition
that they'll have to wait for an autopsy before they can tell if it
is that of a man, woman, or child. They do not know how the person
died or whether foul play was involved.
