Everyday people receive hundreds of pieces of junk mail. Now Attorney General Paul Morrison wants Kansas Consumers to now how to stop junk mail from arriving at their home.

Stopping all commercial mail from arriving is impossible but there are ways to reduce the amount of unwanted solicitations one receives.

Sign up for Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) Mail Preference Service to receive less advertising mail. DMA is a national private marketing association that requires its members to use their name removal service.

The best way to avoid junk mail is to avoid giving out addresses and personal information.
