"Ponzi" Scheme Sentencing

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Kansas veterinarian pleads no contest to
36 counts related to sales of alleged investments in a cattle
embryo program.

Prosecutors say they'll seek a seven-year sentence
for Dr. Donald Atteberry of Berryton. They say Atteberry engaged in a ``Ponzi'' scheme in which money from new investors is used to
make earlier investors think they are receiving a high return.
