Posted: 09/24/2008 - Bruno G. Desolenni, a 32-year-old Army captain, died Sept. 20 from wounds caused by a blast that struck his vehicle in Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley. To date, 157 soldiers, sailors and airmen assigned to Fort Riley have died in combat.
