Kansas Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Kansas soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Kansas City Star reports 23-year-old Justin Sisson of Overland Park, and another soldier Robert Pierce of Oklahoma were killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near the Pakistan border.

Sisson had been in Afghanistan for two months and was a second lieutenant in the 101st Airborne Division.

He graduated from Blue Valley West High School before attending Florida State University.
