Grenade Discovery Leads To Brief Evacuation Of Wichita School


WICHITA, Kan A Wichita school student faces disciplinary action after he brought a dummy grenade to school. Police were called to Enders Magnet School, 3030 S. Osage, after 10:00 a.m. Friday.

A USD 259 spokesperson said the student brought the grenade to school in his backpack. Another student found out about it and told a teacher. The student brought the grenade from his home.

Students were evacuated as a precaution. They were back in the classroom within ten minutes after police determined the grenade posed no threat.
