FORT RILEY, Kan. - The 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley will host a Memorial Day Observance at the Fort Riley Cemetery at 11:40 a.m., May 28.
The ceremony features Brig. Gen. Donald MacWillie, 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley Senior Commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Rafael Rivera, the Command Sergeant Major of Fort Riley who will lay the commemorative wreath in honor of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Military installations across the country, to include Fort Riley will conduct a 21-Gun Salute at noon to honor fallen service members. This will be followed by the National Anthem and the raising of the flag to full staff.
