FORT RILEY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Members of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, will be welcomed home in a ceremony Tuesday at Fort Riley.
Approximately 240 Soldiers will be reunited with friends and family following a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.
The brigade's soldiers deployed to Afghanistan in April where their mission was to enable the country's government, security forces and economy to operate more independently.
The brigade is serving under the division-led Regional Command-East.
The remaining 4th IBCT Soldiers will continue to return to Fort Riley throughout the following weeks.
