You can help support the Kansas National Guard Foundation with your purchase of soft drinks and other beverages over the next month.
From now until July 21, the Dr. Pepper/Snapple group will donate a portion of their proceeds from participating stores to the foundation that helps Guard members and their families.
The group helps pay for Guard members' families to attend the pre-deployment and reintegration training session the Guardsmen go through. The foundation also helps bring troops home for the holidays and send National Guard members' children to camp.
The participating stores include Hy-Vee, including the one in Topeka. Some Wal-Marts and several smaller stores such as Apple Mart and Thriftway are also taking part.
