Heartland Military Day Remembers War

(Topeka, Kan--) Visitors at Heartland Military Day took a hands on look at vintage military equipment from World War II.

The display featured battle reenactments, tanks, trucks, artillery and guns. Visitors also had the opportunity to engage in a panel discussion with World War II Veterans.

The Museum of the Kansas National Guard is open Monday through Friday year-round and admission is always free. It's mission is to preserve the heritage of the Kansas Army and Air National Guard.
