Three Men Honored By Junction City Commission

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) - Three individuals were recognized Tuesday in Junction City for their actions in an August stabbing incident.

Sergeant Monte McWilliams and Sergeant Ace Thompson of the Army National Guard and Officer Brad Diel of the Junction City Police Department were presented the Life Saving Award for aiding four victims who were stabbed on August 10th by Jason Babylon.

Officer Diel was recommended for the award by an investigating officer for being the first on the scene and disarming Babylon.

Sergeant McWilliams and Sergeant Thompson were recently presented the Soldier’s Award from the Army National Guard for their actions in a peacetime, civilian situation.

The four victims in the case have made full recoveries.
