Hundreds of current and prospective students at Fort Riley explored educational opportunities today at Riley's Conference Center.
This year’s Army Education Fair allowed soldiers and their families to learn more about programs at schools in Kansas and across the country and meet with representatives from two-year and four-year colleges, as well as technical schools and trade schools.

"I think that’s one of the attractions for soldiers is that while it’s nice when they’re stationed here they have those local schools," said Education Services Specialist Sheri Buono. "It’s nice to have that broad range of schools from, like I said, all over the nation who maybe it’s a school from their home town or schools offering a particular program they can only get in that location. So I guess it makes it a good opportunity for them."
Education counselors from Fort Riley were also available to assist with degree selection and financial assistance, as well as the Army education system.
K-State, KU, Nebraska and dozens of other institutions were in attendance.
