Authorities have positively identified the body found in Tuttle Creek Lake last week as a missing Kansas State University employee Jane Peterson.

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW) Pottawattamie County authorities have announced the positive identification the body found in Tuttle Creek Lake last week as a missing Kansas State University employee Jane Peterson.

Family members had reported that 56-year-old Peterson was missing back on January 19th.

Authorities and volunteer groups conducted several searches around the Tuttle Cove area.

Her body was found Friday in an area of Tuttle Cove that had thawed. An autopsy determined she died of drowning and hypothermia.

Authorities do not suspect foul play.
