TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka residents had the opportunity to walk off some of their Thanksgiving dinner after dark.

The Topeka Zoo stayed open late Thursday to allow guests to walk around following dinner.

Free ice skating at the polar ice cap skating rink was available, as was a chance to feed giraffes some lettuce, with proceeds going towards the zoos conservation efforts.

Guests were encouraged to bring their own flashlights to take a self guided tour of the zoo.
