TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Young entrepreneurs talked a little business with their breakfast Wednesday morning.
The Topeka Business for Breakfast fundraiser featured keynote speaker, and Capitol Federal President and CEO, John Dicus.
He spoke to attendees about how they can succeed in life, business, and the community.
Students with the Youth Entrepreneurs program also had the opportunity to share their business ideas with one another.
Dicus believes the program is a great opportunity for youth.
"This is about creating young leaders of the next generation," said Dicus. "And coming after the night of an election, we really need to work on the leaders. It's the future of our country."
Proceeds from the breakfast benefit the Youth Entrepreneurs program -- a non-profit that teaches business and entrepreneurial skills in Kansas and Missouri high schools.
